Rebuilt engine and filled with oil, petrol and water. Then the rear core plug on the block started to leak! Drained water and went to Steve Hodgsons for a new core plug. Fitted new core plug and filled water jacket. Tried to start engine but found timing was out by 180 degrees!
Re set distributor and started engine.

Cleaned the radiator housing and fitted the internal sills. Run cable to the rear under the sills from the dash board. Installed front engine mounts and painted the interior of the car.
Have got the wings out of the shed and will start stripping and repairing them. The parts for the engine have arrived so I will lap the valves, fit the springs and collets and refit the cylinder head.

Been very busy!
Got the front axle back from Steve Hodgson. He has installed new king pins, shackle eyes and crack tested the steering arm all good.
I have cleaned and sprayed all pieces and installed new bushes to the front suspension and spray painted the engine bay.
Have put Poppy back on "dirty" boots as I will be rubbing down etc and don't want new wheels becoming un clean. The valve cups and collets have arrived from Tony Betts so I had better get on with the engine. I have a short nose cone purchased from James Anderson and I'm just sorting out an order with Jamie at Seven Workshop

All the welding on the body has been done and the interior is being painted with old fashioned black smoothrite.
Replaced propshaft union joints but talking to Chris Gould I think it is a Ruby prop and he has the right propshaft and gear box. I am waiting for bits for the engine from Tony Betts.
I need to fit spring cups and valve collets to the engine.
